I saw these sweet kiddos come into the world and cannot believe how quickly (and how beautifully) they're growing up. I have the most gorgeous clients ever, seriously. Check out this smoking hot couple, are they not just amazing together?!? I couldn't have asked for a more perfect couple for my first ever engagement shoot. Thank you Holly and Michael, for being so fun and for being so adorable! I think I actually said "Awwwwwwww" several times just watching y'all together. Best of luck with your wedding next month, I can't wait to see all the pictures, no doubt they'll be absolutely stunning.

Blue-eyed Cuteness

I met this little cutie and her parents on an unusually hot September evening and though her parents and I were, well, let's just say "perspiring" a bit, Miss Ryann was cool as a cucumber and rocked all of her adorable outfits. I love the shots with her little fingers in her mouth and the ones with her little toofers showing. Oh heck, who am I kidding? I love all of them! :)

There's nothing more adorable than a little girl in a cowboy hat and flip flops! I mean, seriously, how can you not just love Miss Cady? This spunky little cutie rocked the Stockyards for her birthday shoot and yes, that's a real longhorn she's riding! I love how her little personality just shines in each and every one of these shots.

Well, they're not exactly parents-to-be anymore, as their little guy arrived in July, but I'm, ahem, a bit behind on blogging, so there ya go. Taylor and Lance were such good sports during this shoot, you can't tell it but they were melting in the hot Texas summer heat the evening of their session. I was blessed to be able to capture their adorable Ryder's arrival and he's just as cute as his parents. Thanks guys, for letting me share such a special time with your family! I can't wait to work with you again!

Tolar's turn to shine

And shine he did! I'm sure you'll recognize this handsome fella, he is Ava's big brother and he accompanied her to several of her monthly shoots. This time though, it was all about him and he totally rocked it. This was one my fastest shoots ever (he was that cooperative) and produced some of my favorite images ever, too. Thanks, Tolar, for being such a super star model, hope your Spongebob birthday party was a blast!

Baby Ava is one!

Sweet Baby Ava could almost have her own category on my blog, she was one of my very first models (haha, that tells you how long I've been doing this) and we met every month from 2 months to right before she turned one back in June. Her party theme was pink flamingos, so we did a quick shoot poolside to get some shots for her invitation. Isn't her swimsuit adorable?

Then a few weeks later it was time for the big one year shoot. We did a few in her "fancy" outfit and then got to the fun part, the cake smash. Let me tell you, Ava took the "smash" part of cake smash quite literally. She didn't need a bit of prompting when her mom set the cake down in front of her, she just dove right in and loved every minute of it. It was pretty fun going through the pics and seeing the progression of her going from nice and neat to covered head-to-toe in just a matter of minutes.

There were so many cute cake smash pics, I decided a storyboard would work best to show them off.

Ava had become so used to seeing me that even if I didn't have my camera with me, she'd automatically start smiling as soon as she spotted me. I hope you still have lots of smiles for me next time we meet, sweet girl! I already miss seeing you every month!

Remember this beautiful couple from my first maternity shoot? Well, let me introduce you to their gorgeous baby girl. Sweet Baby C was an angel for our session, I could've snuggled her all day long. I hope to get to shoot her again and again as she grows up, no doubt she's going to be a gorgeous little girl!

Wow, has it really been that long since I blogged? I seriously need to catch up! I really have been shooting, despite the quiet here, so be looking for several new posts to pop up this week.

First let me introduce you to one of the prettiest families around, who also happen to be very good friends of mine. We had a fun session on a gorgeous afternoon back in May (see how behind I am?) and here are just a few of my faves.

Ava in the bluebonnets

Spring time in Texas means one thing, pictures in the bluebonnets! We found a little patch that was just perfect for Ava's 10 month shoot, and her big brother joined the fun too. I can't believe we'll only meet one more time before her one year shoot. She just keeps getting more and more beautiful. I hope her Daddy is prepared to beat the boys away with a stick when she's older. :)

I had an amazing session with a super fun senior a few weeks ago and am so excited to share these images. J and her mom were a total blast, even though I think I might have worn them out a bit with all the walking we did. I was not surprised at all to learn that this stunning teen was voted to have the "Best Smile" at her school. Always Adorable Ava

For Ava's 9 month shoot, her mom got her this gorgeous little dress and matching bonnet and wanted the pics to have a little more of a vintage/old style feel. I had a blast processing these and Ava's mom and I were both thrilled with how they came out. I can't believe how much this little cutie has grown and that we're already planning her one year shoot. My how time flies!

Beautiful Expectations

I had my very first maternity session a few weeks ago and was so fortunate to have such a sweet and gorgeous couple to model for me. It was actually a bit more challenging than I expected to get a good angle on that little baby bump, but luckily, this adorable couple was very patient with me and didn't think I was that crazy when I was rolling around in the grass to get the shots I wanted. Thank you, T and N for being such good sports and I am so looking forward to meeting (and of course, taking pictures of) your little girl!

Once again, it was time for my monthly meet-up with the always adorable Baby Ava. This session, she was joined by her super sweet cousin, Jonathan, and I'm going to have to assume that cuteness just runs in this family. Don't they have just the most squeezable little cheeks? And what little troopers they were, we nearly froze ourselves silly out there that day. Here's hoping for a nice balmy springtime session next time, Ava. Baby Ava is 7 months old already! We did her shoot a few weeks ago (I'm a bit behind on blogging obviously) and she was a total cutie , blowing raspberries and "talking" in her adorable little girl voice. It's been such a privilege to capture her growth and I am already looking forward to next month's shoot. Is her hat not the cutest?!?!?! Her mommy finds the best hair accessories!

I got together with Baby Ava and family again last week and wow, is she growing up fast! I just love these shots of her, it looks like we're in the middle of the forest (it was actually the Botanic Gardens) and you wouldn't know there were crazy landscaping people trying to blow us away with leaf blowers, would you? Yeah, they were. Good times, I tell ya. I just hope Ava and Tolar didn't suffer any hearing loss from the experience. :)

No, not the root beer, the kids! Are these two not just the cutest siblings ever? I met their mom through the Down Syndrome Partnership way back when our babies were tiny and we've been friends ever since. They live in a gorgeous neighborhood and we explored quite a bit of it on our little photo walk. I learned all about the time they were invaded by caterpillars and got to see the biggest pile of duck poop ever! Jack and I ventured out last week and found some cool new shooting spots. This is an alley way behind a couple of restaurants. Funny how I would have never even given this place a 2nd glance before I got into photography. I really do see the world differently now.

This past weekend I had the privilege of attending my 2nd workshop with Debbie Layden, otherwise known as the Pixel Fairy Princess. We shot at the Dallas Arboretum all morning and then did some urban shooting around downtown in the afternoon and evening. I learned how to shoot with an off-camera flash using Pocket Wizards, which are now on my photography wish-list. I also found out how incredibly fun it is to shoot with a professional model. Ana was not only beautiful, but also very sweet and easy to work with. Here are some of my faves of her from the weekend.
